It is administratively autonomous, with its own constitution and has full control of the allocation of expenditure from its budget. AU Sport is governed by the Sports Council, which is comprised of designated representatives from each of the affiliated and financial clubs. The Council meets at least three times a year.
Vice-Chancellor and President, The University of Adelaide
Responsibility for the conduct of AU Sport's business is vested in the Board of Management (BoM), which meets monthly on at least nine occasions annually. The BoM is elected annually (four members retire each year on rotation) by the Sports Council. The purpose of the BoM is to oversee and manage the distribution of funds, provide direction to the staff and make strategic decisions pertaining to the operations of AU Sport. The General Manager is a non-voting ex officio member of the Board.

Cricket - President
David is an Economics, Commerce and Master of Business Administration graduate with 20 years experience in state government sector finance and administration. David has over 25 years continuous involvement with the AU Cricket Club as player, committee member and coach, and is passionate about assisting the Adelaide University community with quality opportunities to participate in sport and recreation.
Basketball - Deputy President
Chris is a Mechanical Engineering graduate who is currently working on Australia's Air Warfare Destroyer project. Whilst studying, Chris maintained regular involvement in the AU Basketball Club management, University Games Team and local club competitions. He continues to be involved in Adelaide University Sport through the Basketball and Football clubs. Chris' experience with club competition and management provides useful insight for the Board.
Noelle is a Bachelor of Environmental Studies graduate with strong skills in technology sales and growth, including eight years’ experience as a Financial Controller. Noelle has played netball since she was seven years old and has been a member of the University of Adelaide Netball Club since 2002. In that time, she has been a player, selector, umpire, general committee member, served as Secretary for two years and President for two years. She has also been awarded club life membership.
Hayley is a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) graduate with experience in communications and advertising. She has been a member of the Adelaide University Netball Club since 2013 and is the current club President. Hayley is a passionate advocate for amateur sport in the community and is particularly interested in fostering AU sporting club culture and development.
Crispin is a University of Adelaide Law/Commerce graduate with first hand experience in sports club administration. He applies his academic knowledge and experience gained from serving on club Committees to his work on the Board.
Patrick has been a Boat Club member since 2011 and is the current Boat Club Captain. A current Bachelor of Health Sciences student, Patrick first became involved with the Club's committee in 2012 and has held a variety of positions over the years. Patrick follows several other Boat Club members, who have held Board positions, and takes a keen interest in developing Club administration skills and 'good governance' principles.
Hugo is a Geology PhD Student at the Australian School of Petroleum. As a previous Captain of Adelaide University Boat Club and State Team Athlete, he brings experiences as both a student-athlete and manager to the Board. His main interest is the expansion of the elite athlete program within the AU Sports community.
Kosta is a Finance/Maths & Computer Science/Commerce (Hons) graduate and has been involved in University sport since 2002 and the Adelaide University Soccer Club since 2010. He has been a senior women's coach for nine years and is currently Head Women's National Premier League Coach. Kosta has a strong passion for University sport and is looking forward to acting as an advocate for elite women's sport and the University's sporting involvements on a national stage.
Michael is the University nominee on the Board of Adelaide University Sport. Having joined the Board in 2004, he is also the independent Chair of the Morgan Users Group. Michael is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and also represents the University on the Boards of the Adelaide University Union (AUU), the Fitness Hub and St Mark’s College. In his substantive role, Michael is Manager, Student Affairs at the University of Adelaide. While he is not part of any Adelaide University Sport clubs, he is a keen Crows supporter.
